What is internet setup?

Types of setting up internet

Most home users need only two things to get connected to the Internet—an Internet Service Provider (ISP) and a way to connect to the ISP. There are several different ways to connect with your Internet Service Provider. In most cases, you will connect using a dial-up connection, DSL or Cable. You all also need to install internet explorer or Mozilla firefox as your default browser.

The term wireless internet may technically be used to refer to any type of computer network that is wireless, the term is most commonly used to refer to a telecommunications network whose interconnections between nodes is implemented without the use of wires, As a computer network Wireless telecommunications networks are generally implemented with some type of remote information transmission system that uses electromagnetic waves, such as radio waves, for the carrier and this implementation usually takes place at the physical level or "layer" of the network.

 

Prerequisites for Wireless internet setup

Wireless enabled router.

DSL or Cable Modem.

Wireless network interface card (NIC) (may not be required, if it’s already inbuilt).

Wired network interface card (NIC).

And of-course 2-3 computers (even 1 computer will do, but I don’t see any point in setting up the wireless connection with 1 computer).
