Unable to Delete an NTFS Volume File
Each file that is stored on an NTFS volume is represented by an entry in a special file system table called MFT (Master File Table). The table contains all the metadata information about a file, folder or metafile that resides on the volume. The information is like file name, file size, location, file creation and modification details and more. So, if MFT is corrupt, system will not be able to access the file.
