Windows 7 – better at start up
Even when Windows 7 was yet to be launched, all the developers and the early users of the operating system in question agreed that it has surpassed all its predecessors in all aspects. Microsoft had ultimate confidence in the operating system right from its developmental stages. The Redmond Company had long back demonstrated that Windows 7 was faster to boot. This inference was made based on an experiment done including the windows vista and the prototype of Windows 7, named as Windows 7 pre-Beta Build 6801 Milestone 3. The tech giant the senior development lead, Aaron Dietrich and his team have made it entirely possible that the windows 7 works and boots like a wonder, thus offering better performance than the Xp and Vista.
Aaron Dietrich said that he was highly obliged and was extremely happy when he heard the first review of the improved booting and lessened boot time of the new release of the operating system. He further commented that the first positive review definitely acted like a booster and was the indication that they were going to develop a great product. The entire team of the Windows Client performance did not take credit for any of the features present in the Windows 7. Instead, the entire team is giving credit to all the teams that developed each feature of the Windows 7 and helped them attain the goal of the faster boot of the operating system. The team stressed that a few other add on features of the operating system that allowed the boot to run in the backend while the Windows part discovered and initialized the external devices. This division of the boot reduced the boot time required.
One more thing that the development team achieved was the reduction in the size of the operating system. As compared, windows Vista that took the almost 240 MB to load and boot the windows 7 requires almost 180 MB to be loaded on the RAM. All this has helped reduce the boot time of Windows 7 almost upto 15 seconds. However, a few reviews stated that it required less than 15 seconds. This one feature makes windows 7 winner as compared to its predecessors.
