As per facts stated above, Windows became most popular right after its invention. Other Operating Systems like Mac, UNIX or LINUX have their own plus points. For example, Mac is the most dependable Operating System of all. Crash or hang ratio in Mac is almost nil but Mac does not support other hardware components at all. It is almost impossible to barge into Mac network. If you are using Mac, you have no reason to worry about virus attacks or spam ware intrusions.
Now you may ask ‘then why Mac is not most popular among all?’ Apart from the reasons given above regarding hardware restrictions, Mac is at least 4 times costlier. Not Operating System, mind you, but entire package. If you want to buy a computer with Intel mother board, Core 2 Duo, Seagate hard disk, you can buy it and load Windows as an Operating System on this bunch and start working. This kind of choice is not available with Mac. You need to buy EVERYTHING manufactured my Mac like hard disk, mother board and even keyboard and mouse. Now, this package is damn costly. Likewise, because of few hiccups, Operating Systems like Mac, UNIX or LINUX have limited market share.
