3. The MS release its more improved web search engine “Bing”. Now Bing has started climbing up popularity charts, capturing market shares. The search engine has some chic characteristics like visual search, more improved map views. Bing is definitely a step ahead than the Microsoft Live Search.
4. Talk about big deal; Microsoft did execute it. Yes, Microsoft’s deal with Yahoo was perhaps the best move of Microsoft. Yahoo being the second most popular of the web search engine it did affect the MS market position. It pulled MS from oblivion on to the headlines.
5. Understanding its market. Another move, MS did understand its market, the areas of expansion and threats to its popularity. The argument with European Union was perhaps the long running one. At last, MS did what was required and allowed a multi-browser option.
6. Security has always been an issue with MS. High time that MS did pay attention to it. The windows OS is widely used, this makes it highly vulnerable to virus attacks. This has ruined most of the users PC. Microsoft has improved itself on the security grounds by the debut of Security Essentials. Though there is still a lot for MS to do in this zone. “Better late than never”.
7. The Xp mode in Windows7, which enables the users to make the OS to function like Xp. This is definitely a feature that can make the users of Xp comfortable to work on. Making easier shift from Xp to windows 7.
